· What clipping is, why it matters

One trailer on one channel
is no longer the whole plan.

A trailer on YouTube isn't guaranteed to drive an audience alone, nor should it. The audience who decides whether to see your title lives in the scroll, where attention is won or lost in the first seconds. A clipping campaign meets them there, with native short-form content sized for each feed.

I. The Problem

Most clipping agencies were not
built for Hollywood.

Other clipping agencies
  • Low value clientele: gambling, crypto, drop-shipping, podcasts, and influencers.
  • Hollywood IP treated without distinction from any other content.
  • No content-sensitivity firewall.
  • No path to controlled handling of pre-release work.
  • Generic creator briefs, not entertainment-specific.
  • No respect for the source material or the hands that created it.
  • No takedown SLA worth naming.
Hello Squadron
  • Hollywood-only client list. No exceptions.
  • Curated community of entertainment-focused clippers.
  • Brief approval and clip review on every campaign.
  • Geo-targeted via clipper-audience matching.
  • Briefs written for entertainment, not e-commerce.
  • Built around union, guild, and talent-likeness rules.
  • 24-hour takedown SLA via DMCA and platform escalation.
II. Agency vs in-house

Why a clipping agency,
not just your social team.

01

Low cost, but high value

You only pay per 1,000 distinct views. No production retainers, no agency fees layered on top of media spend, no budget burned on posts that never landed. The unit economics are honest: results in, dollars out, nothing wasted in between.

02

Organic, but controlled

A clip from your own channel reads as advertising. The same clip routed through a hundred fan-facing accounts reads as cultural momentum. Hello Squadron gives you the social proof of a broad fanbase and the editorial control of an in-house team: video and copy are reviewed at every step, so your IP is never used incorrectly.

03

Diversified, but faithful to source

The volume of short-form video is staggering, and no single hook reliably finds the audience. A clipping campaign harnesses the crowd to compete for virality across dozens of angles at once. More content in market means more shots on goal, with every angle still rooted in the assets and brief you approved.

Campaigns from $5 CPM, capped at the rate you set.

III. The Process

Four acts. One campaign.

Act One
~3 days

Brief & strategy

A confidential discovery call with our entertainment leads. We map your campaign objective: opening weekend lift, finale buzz, awards run, talent activation, library revival. Targeting parameters are set: geography, language, demographic, platform, and the windowed timing the campaign requires.

Act Two
~2 days

Asset prep & brief

You select which already-public assets to amplify — trailers, public scenes, official BTS, soundtrack drops, talent moments. Our team writes the campaign brief, sets the CPM target, defines the audience profile, and locks the deployment window. Music licensing, talent likeness rights, and distribution windows are reviewed before the brief goes out.

Act Three
Campaign run

Distribution via the community

The brief goes out to our curated community of entertainment-focused short-form creators across TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts, and X. Clippers self-select based on audience match. Every submission is reviewed by our team before approval. Approved clips deploy in waves; performance dashboard updates hourly. Clippers are paid at a fixed CPM per platform-verified view at the conclusion of the campaign and to your satisfaction.

Act Four
Ongoing

Stewardship & takedown

Active monitoring continues for the life of the campaign and beyond. If a clip is reposted by an account outside the network, strays from the brief, surfaces on a banned account, or otherwise violates the campaign's terms, we take it down within 24 hours and escalate with platform partners and DMCA tools as needed.

IV. Rights & Security

Built around your IP.

Hollywood content is held to a different standard than a podcast clip or a product demo. Hello Squadron is built around that standard — clientele focus, brief discipline, and pre-publication review on every campaign.

Pre-publication review

Before a clip goes live we review for off-brand framing, talent likeness misuse, and brief compliance. Clips that miss the mark are rejected before posting.

24-hour takedown SLA

Unauthorized reposts and brief deviations are taken down within 24 hours via DMCA process and platform escalation. We monitor continuously through campaign close.

Union & guild aware

We respect SAG-AFTRA likeness rules, WGA materials provisions, and active labor actions. We will not run a campaign that crosses a picket line or uses struck materials.

Brief-controlled output

Every campaign runs from a written brief you approve. Hooks, on-screen text, and asset usage are scoped at the start, so creative diversity never drifts into off-message territory.

Hollywood-level clientele

Your title is never routed alongside crypto, gambling, or drop-shipping briefs. The community is shaped by who we accept as clients, not just who we accept as clippers.

Audit trail on request

Every approved clip, posting account, and platform interaction is logged. Full audit trail available to your legal team on request, scoped per campaign.

V. Questions

The ones asked most.

How is Hello Squadron different from clipping agencies that work with podcasts and creators?
We exclusively serve Hollywood entertainment clients: studios, networks, streaming platforms, talent representatives, and rights holders. Most other agencies serve any client willing to pay — gambling, crypto, drop-shipping, and entertainment all in the same channel, with the same brief discipline applied to a casino as to a Pixar feature. We narrow the clientele so the briefs, rules, and creator community can actually fit how Hollywood works.
How specific can targeting actually get?
Targeting works through clipper selection. We size each brief toward creators whose own audiences match the country, age band, gender skew, and language profile the title needs. A Japanese-dubbed animated feature aiming at women 35–54 in Tokyo, Osaka, and Yokohama via Instagram Reels is achievable. What we cannot do — and what no one in this industry can honestly promise — is verify the demographic profile of every individual viewer. Platforms expose audience data at the account level, and we report transparently in every campaign close-out on exactly what was directly verified versus what was estimated.
Where does your community of clippers come from?
Our community is curated from short-form creators with proven entertainment-adjacent audiences — film and TV reactors, music commentators, anime and animation channels, talent fan accounts. We are particular about who joins, which is why we don't publish a sign-up form. Clippers are recruited and reviewed before they receive a brief.
Do you respect union rules and strike protocols?
Yes. We respect SAG-AFTRA likeness provisions, WGA materials rules, and active labor actions. We will not run a campaign that violates a guild rule, crosses a picket line, or uses materials that have been struck. Briefs that touch struck content or violate likeness rules get rejected before they go out.
How are clippers paid?
Performance-based at a fixed CPM per platform-verified view, set per campaign. Creators post to TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts, or X under their own handles, submit links for review, and earn at the brief's rate once the clip is approved and views verify. Payouts are processed regularly with appropriate tax handling for the creator's country.
What does a campaign cost?
Our floor is $5 CPM and our ceiling is set by you. Most studio campaigns we run land between $5 and $12 per thousand verified views, depending on the targeting profile, language requirements, and platform mix. A typical theatrical or limited-series campaign we'd quote sits in the low six figures of total spend, but we've structured smaller indie campaigns at five-figure totals where the targeting is tight. We won't quote a budget without seeing the brief — if a CPM ceiling matters to you, set it on the discovery call and we'll size the roster against it.
